Design protection in Great Britain / England: IP Lawyer helps with design registration at a fixed price!

After the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union (“Brexit”), newly filed “EU designs” / European Community designs (as well as collective designs) are no longer automatically protected there. In order to obtain design protection in the United Kingdom (“UK design” / “English design”) or a design registration in Great Britain (“British design” / “GB design”), a separate design application must therefore be filed in Great Britain with the local Patent and Trademark Office (United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office – UKIPO). We will be happy to assist you with our Patent Attorney’s Office and IP Law Firm (e.g. for design law).

We can put you in contact with colleagues who are authorized to represent you there, so that the costs of a design application in Great Britain are foreseeable and start at a favorable complete price of 500 Euro (including official fees of the Patent and Trademark Office in GB / UK as well as fees of the lawyers involved).

This is especially the case if a German design or a European Union design (Community design / EU design) already exists or if you provide us with the documents required for filing.

In design law matters in Great Britain, we can e.g. support you with our colleagues in the following areas:

Design application in Great Britain / United Kingdom

“English design” / “UK design” / “British design” for design protection in GB

Renewal of designs in Great Britain / United Kingdom / design renewal of English designs

also as part of original EU designs / Community designs or collective designs / collective applications

Assistance with possible problems in connection with GB designs

such as attacks or cancellation proceedings against the design

etc.

For comprehensive protection of the most important sales markets in Central Europe, it is often advisable to combine a “EU design” (design patent / community design) with a design in Great Britain (“GB design”). In addition, a Swiss design application can also be recommendable. Alternatively, in this case, the filing of an International Design can also be considered.

Simply contact our Patent Attorney’s Office and Intellectual Property Law Firm with “Design Attorney” (European Patent, Trademark and Design Attorney as well as German Certified Intellectual Property Lawyer) with specialization e.g. in design law and let us know your inquiry so that we can proceed to assist you!
